Undergraduate thesis project focused on improving the user experience of Ahmad Dahlan University’s Academic Portal through a notification-based design system.

UX Researcher & UI/UX Designer
This project was developed as part of my undergraduate thesis and focused on enhancing the user experience of Ahmad Dahlan University's Academic Portal. The goal was to design a notification-based system that helps students monitor academic progress more efficiently across modules like attendance, KRS, and transcripts.
Using the User-Centered Design approach, the process included defining user context, identifying requirements, designing solutions, and evaluating usability. Target users were active Informatics students aged 19–24 who frequently accessed the portal but experienced usability issues in tracking attendance and academic progress.
Key features designed included attendance notifications, course prerequisite alerts, D/E grade warnings, and a dashboard summarizing key academic information. Wireframes and high-fidelity prototypes were developed in Figma, refined through iterative testing and direct feedback from users. Usability testing used the User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ), where all dimensions—Attractiveness, Efficiency, Perspicuity, Dependability, Stimulation, and Novelty—received positive evaluations.
The final design simplified navigation, improved clarity, and provided timely updates, resulting in higher user satisfaction and a more efficient academic experience for students.
